Suneel Basra, DPM, FACFAS helps the people of Ridgewood and Garfield, New Jersey, get back on their feet at Complete Foot and Ankle. As a board-certified podiatric surgeon, he has an extensive background in diagnosing and treating ankle and foot disorders.

Dr. Basra earned his undergraduate degree from New York University and received his doctorate from the New York College of Podiatric Medicine. Following medical school, he served his residency as Chief Resident at New York Methodist Hospital.

During his residency, Dr. Basra participated in a mission trip to South America, where he performed surgery to correct congenital deformities such as clubfoot, flatfoot, and cerebral palsy.

Dr. Basra can treat a full range of ankle and foot conditions, but he takes a special interest in sports medicine. He also performs reconstructive surgery, trauma care, diabetic wound care and limb salvage, and orthotic intervention.

Dr. Basra maintains affiliations with Hackensack University Medical Center, The Valley Hospital, and Palisades Medical Center. He also serves as a fellow and a member of the Consumer Education Committee for the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons.

His current medical memberships include the American Podiatric Medical Association, New Jersey Podiatric Medical Society, and American Board of Podiatric Surgery (diplomate).

Today, Dr. Basra dedicates time to his continuing education and the education of residents at New York Methodist Hospital as a lecturer. During his time off, Dr. Basra spends as much time with his wife and daughter as possible.

He still maintains a keen interest in world travel, inspired by his past journeys to Machu Picchu in Peru and Iguazu Falls in Argentina. He also speaks Punjabi and Hindi in addition to English.
